Painting

In beginner’s level the student will learn values of colours, the use of different brushes and techniques to create different effects on the canvas. The student will learn by creating their own landscapes based on the observation of nature.
In intermediate level the student will explore portraiture. Based on a photograph taken by the students of someone they know the student will use a grid to have the accurate features of the sitter. The knowledge of colours will grow since skin tone matching will take place!
In the advanced level the student will work in a large format canvas and the topics of the paintings will be based on selected readings.
Senior advanced students will explore different artistic movements of art history focusing on 20th century artistic expressions.
